It Is So Hot - We Really Could Use Some Rain

Brutus daylily
I've been watering all morning - when the Elaeagnus shrubs start wilting - you know its dry. The battle is on to keep everything alive.  I  moved some of the Chosen Love, Dallas Star, Barbara Mitchell (pinks), Persian Market (coral), and Paper Butterfly daylilies to the shade area. They don't seem to hold their color in the heat. Also divided and moved some lambs ear, white caladium and Electric Lime coleus to this area also. I took a cutting awhile back from the hydrangea and it rooted, so I planted it also. Hopefully with the amendments I've been adding, next year the soil will be in better
condition than it is this year.
